Coronavirus: Kartik Aaryan Donates Rs 1 Crore To PM-CARES Fund To Combat COVID-19

After Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Varun Dhawan and Rajkummar Rao, Kartik Aaryan has now contributed to PM Modis' PM-CARES Fund.

New Delhi: Amid the novel Coronavirus outbreak in India, PM Narendra Modi recently announced the creation of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) and urged everyone to make donations and support this noble cause. Various Bollywood celebs including Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Varun Dhawan and Rajkummar Rao have contributed in fight against COVID-19. Kartik Aaryan has just now announced that he has donated Rs 1 Crore to combat Coronavirus. Kartik Aaryan replied to the PM on Twitter today and pledged to donate Rs. 1 Crore for the cause. He states that he has reached this position because of the masses love and support and it is his time to support the citizens back who has hailed him as a superstar. He wrote,"It is the absolute need of the hour to rise together as a nation. Whatever I am, whatever money I’ve earned, is only because of the people of India; and for us I am contributing Rs. 1 crore to the PM-CARES Fund. I URGE all my fellow Indians also to help as much as possible." Right from Rajnikanth to Ram Charan, names and celebrities nationwide are doing their bit. Coming back to Kartik Aaryan, he currently has films like 'Dostana 2' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyya 2' in his kitty. Speaking about the Coronavirus outbreak, the total number of positive coronavirus cases in India rose to 1170 including 102 recoveries and 29 deaths.
