Coronavirus: Hema Malini, Urmila Matondkar Ask People To Celebrate Gudi Padwa, Navratri At Home
On the special occasion of Navratri & Gudi Padwa, Hema Malini & Urmila Matondkar took to their social media accounts and wished fans amid Coronavirus lockdown.
New Delhi: The novel Coronavirus outbreak is wreaking havoc globally. While enough preventive health measures have been suggested by health experts, the people across the world are in state of panic. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India stands at 562. Eleven people have succumbed to the virus whereas 40 have recovered or discharged till now. PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation yesterday (March 24) and announced a lockdown for the next 21 days till April 14.
Amid this, the whole nation is celebrating 'Gudi Padwa' wherea Navratri also begins from today (March 25). On the special occasion, Bollywood celebrities Hema Malini and Urmila Matondkar took to their social media accounts and wished fans. They also urged people to celebrate the nine-day long festival by staying at home to stay safe and healthy.
Wishing fans on Twitter, actress-turned-politician wrote, "Auspicious Gudi Padwa, Ugadi & Cheti Chand! Let us celebrate with our loved ones & observe the Navratras safely at home."
