Brahmastra: This VETERAN actress to star opposite Nagarjuna in the film?
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has been making waves ever since the project was announced by Karan Johar. The cast of the Ayan Mukerji directorial is getting bigger and better with every passing day. With the likes of Ranbir, Alia, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy already on-board, the makers have also roped in Telugu superstar Nagarjuna to play a special role in the supernatural romantic fairytale. As per the latest buzz, KJo & team might bring on-board a veteran actress opposite the south sensation.
The makers of the film have approached Dimple Kapadia to play a crucial role in ‘Brahmastra’, a report in a leading daily said. The ‘Bobby’ actress will be joining the film’s unit in their second shooting schedule in Bulgaria, the report added.
“She will be seen opposite Nagarjuna in the film. It is to Karan’s credit that he could get the nod from Dimple,’’ a source told Mumbai Mirror.
The National Award winning actress was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’, which released in 2015.

Earlier, Karan Johar gave a warm welcome to Nagarjuna on Twitter and Instagram and shared pictures from the shoot’s location. "We are honoured and exceptionally excited to have the one and only Nagarjuna doing an extremely "special" role in our film Brahmastra. Thank you, sir for your love and your beautiful energy," the ‘Dhadak’ producer tweeted.

Mouni Roy, who is playing a significant role in ‘Brahmastra’, also shared pictures with the ‘Shiva’ actor on Instagram. The shooting for the film is in full swing and the makers hope to release it sometime next year. The cast and crew wrapped up the first schedule in Bulgaria in March earlier this year. It is heavily rumoured that Ranbir and Alia fell in love with each other on the sets of the film. Watch this space for more updates!
