Jigra box office update
The report further states that 'Jigra' has yet to surpass ₹20 crore after three days of release. It collected ₹4.55 crore on its opening day and saw some growth on the second day, helped by the Dusshera holiday, bringing in ₹6.55 crore. With the third-day collection, 'Jigra' has earned a total of ₹16.75 crore so far.
Jigra vs Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video
Jigra is facing tough competition from Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s 'Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video', which outperformed 'Jigra' on its opening day, earning ₹5.5 crore. To date, it has collected ₹17.84 crore, as per Sacnilk.com, making it the current frontrunner at the box office.
Alia has led several successful female-centric films, including Gangubai Kathiawadi, Raazi and Udta Punjab, making Jigra's lukewarm opening a cause for concern. Her previous release, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, had an impressive opening weekend, grossing ₹19 crore.
Following Jigra's release, actor Divya Khossla Kumar claimed that Alia misrepresented the film's success. Although Alia did not respond, Karan Johar posted a message on his Instagram stories that read, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.”
