Bollywood Drugs Case: NCB Questions Deepika Padukone's Former Manager Karishma Prakash In Mumbai: Report

The Narcotics Control Bureau reportedly questioned Karishma Prakash in a drugs case linked to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's former manager Karishma Prakash reached the NCB office in Mumbai for interrogation on Wednesday (November 4), a report in Hindustan Times said. The Narcotics Control Bureau, which intensified its probe into the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus post Sushant Singh Rajput's death, had recovered 1.7gm of charas from Karishma's residence last month. The drugs-law enforcement agency had issued a summon to Prakash and asked her to appear on October 27 but she was 'untraceable'. Also READ: Sushant Singh Rajput Case! Karishma Prakash has filed an anticipatory bail plea in Mumbai Court, which adjourned the matter for heating on November 7, a report in PTI said. The NCB told the court that the agency will not take any "coercive action" against Prakash in the drugs case till November 7. Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash had appeared before the NCB for interrogation on September 26 in Mumbai. The agency also grilled Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh in connection with a drugs case linked to Sushant's death. Deepika and Karishma's names came to the fore after their alleged WhatsApp chats surfaced during the investigation. NCB Reveals KWAN Releases Statement On Karishma Prakash's Resignation Karishma Prakash has resigned from KWAN management company, which manages Deepika Padukone and other Bollywood stars. The company issued a statement and said that Prakash tendered her resignation last month and it was immediately accepted. It also said that Prakash had nothing to do with any of the artists including Padukone. "Karishma Prakash tendered her resignation on 21st of October with immediate effect and it was accepted. She now has nothing to do with KWAN or with any of the artists that the agency represent including Deepika Padukone. The ongoing investigations are on Karishma Prakash as an individual .We would request media houses and reporters to incorporate this fact while reporting on this issue," the statement said.
