‘Used To Get Drunk, Keep Glasses On Our Head’: Bobby Deol Recalls The Idea Behind Viral Animal Entry Song Jamal Kudu

Bobby Deol touched on Animal's viral moment in detail, revealing how he came up with the step on his own.

New Delhi: Despite receiving mixed reviews, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' has maintained a solid box office performance. While the Ranbir Kapoor film is still making waves on social media, Bobby Deol's character Abrar's entry song has gone viral the most. In the movie 'Animal', Bobby walks in while holding a glass on his head and dancing to the song 'Jamal Kudu', revised version of Iranian track 'Jamal Jamaloo'.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Spy, the actor touched on the film's viral moment in detail, revealing how he came up with the step on his own.

Talking of the viral entry scene, Bobby Deol said, "He (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) had made me listen to the music beforehand. He has got a great sense of music. He has got a great sense of everything about filmmaking. He found the song from somewhere and told me ‘I will play this in your introduction.’"

The actor went on to describe what happened during the scene's choreography.

"When we started shooting, the choreographer said, ‘You do it.’ I was like, ‘What will I do?’ I started dancing and he told me, 'No, No. Don’t do it like Bobby Deol.’ Then Saurabh, who plays my brother, I told him, ‘Can you do and show? How would you do it?’ Then I suddenly remembered the time when I was small and we used to go to Punjab. I remembered how we used to get drunk and keep glasses on our head. I never understood why we did it. It suddenly came in my mind and I did that. Sandeep liked it,” the actor said.

'Animal', an action movie starring Sandeep Reddy Vanga, released on December 1 and in just 10 days has brought in Rs 717.46 crore globally.
