Bihar Elections 2020: Ameesha Patel Thanks Media For 'Timely Reporting' Of Her Bad Experience During Campaign Trail

Bihar Elections 2020: Ameesha Patel, who accused LJP candidate Prakash Chandra of ill treatment, said that she has received compensation for the extra work she did during the campaign trail.

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel set several tongues wagging when she accused LJP's Obra candidate Prakash Chandra of ill treatment while she was campaigning for him during the Bihar elections 2020. She made serious allegations against the politician and said that she feared for her life when she was in Bihar. The 'Kaho No Pyaar Hai' actress accused Prakash Chandra of threatening her to 'play along' with him and said that he made her miss an evening flight to Mumbai. While Prakash Chandra denied all the allegations, Ameesha said that she could have been 'raped and killed' as there was no security during the campaign trail. “I could have been raped and killed because there was no security and it was madness. My car was surrounded at all times by his people and they would refuse to let my car move till I didn’t do things as per his wishes,” the 'Race 2' actress said. Ameesha Patel has now shared an audio message to thank the media fraternity for their timely reporting. She said that the concerned parties sent her a compensation fee for her extra hours of hard work which she put in during the campaign. The 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' actress added that she received a heartfelt apology from them after her bad experience. "I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire media fraternity for the timely reporting of the incident that took place with me on October 26, 2020 while I was campaigning three hours away in Patna city. Due to your reporting, I have been given a heartfelt apology from the concerned parties and they have rectified the matter. They have also sent me a compensation fee for the extra hours of hard work that I had done under duress there. They have resolved lot of issues and given me a heartfelt apology. So, I thank you media for once again showing that you are truly dear for a just cause and justice can be delivered by your reporting. Jai Hind," Ameesha said in a audio message.
