Bharat: Varun Dhawan to play young Dhirubhai Ambani in Salman Khan’s film? DETAILS INSIDE!

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’ has been making waves ever since the film was announced. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial grabbed headlines when Priyanka Chopra walked out of the film citing her engagement with Nick Jonas. The makers had immediately roped in Katrina Kaif to play the female lead in the film. Salman and Katrina have completed a major chunk of shooting in Abu Dhabi, Malta and Punjab. Speculations were rife that Varun Dhawan has a special appearance in ‘Bharat’. If recent report in an entertainment portal is to go by, the ‘Kalank’ actor will be essaying the role of young Dhirubhai Ambani in ‘Bharat’. Yes, you read that right. (Dhirubhai Ambani) The makers of the film are trying to keep things under wraps but some details regarding Varun’s role in the film are out. “Ali and team are keeping the details of Bharat under tight wraps. Though we all know that the film is a remake of the Korean flick Ode To My Father, the team has been pretty discreet about their given roles. But, yes Varun Dhawan who has joined the cast in a small role will be seen playing the younger version of a well-known Indian businessman,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. “Earlier it was unclear whether Varun’s cameo would be a song or a role, but now it is known that he will be seen playing the younger version of the late Dhirubhai Ambani in Bharat,” the source further told the portal. It would be interesting to see Varun Dhawan play the role of Dhirubhai Ambani. Considering his power-packed performance in ‘October’ and ‘Sui Dhaaga’, we are sure he will nail this role as well. (Varun in Sui Dhaaga) Talking about ‘Bharat’, the film also stars Nora Fatehi, Sunil Grover, Aasif Sheikh and Jackie Shroff. The flick, which is the Indian adaptation of South Korean drama ‘Ode to my Father’, will hit the silver screens during Eid 2019.
