‘Bala’ Box-Office Day 2: Ayushmann Khurrana's Film Witnesses Huge Jump!
Here's how much Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Bala' has minted on the second day of its release.
After the success of his last film 'Dream Girl', versatile actor Ayushmann Khurrana's much-awaited film 'Bala' finally hit the theatres this Friday and the film started on a flying note by collecting Rs 10.15 crore on day one at the box office. Also featuring Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar, 'Bala' has got favourable reviews from critics and audience too is loving the film. On second day, the film continued to set the cash registers ringing and has witnessed a good growth.
On Saturday, The Amar Kaushik directorial has collected Rs. 15.73 crore thereby making the grand total to Rs. 25.88 crore.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Bala’s second day box office collection on Twitter. He wrote, "#Bala hits the ball out of the park on Day 2... Superb growth... Day 3 should help *weekend total* cross ₹ 40 cr mark... Will be Ayushmann’s third film to hit ₹ 40 cr+ in *opening weekend* [#BadhaaiHo, #DreamGirl]... Fri 10.15 cr, Sat 15.73 cr. The film raking in big moolah at the box office and is expected to continue the momentum in coming days. On a related note, 'Bala' co-starring Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla and Seema Pahwa was mired in controversy after the makers of 'Ujda Chaman accused the producers of the film of copyright infringement as both the movies have have protagonists who are young men suffering from premature balding. 'Ujda Chaman' makers even dragged Bala's producer Dinesh Vijan to court but later they withdrew the case. 'Ujda Chaman' released last week and failed to make a mark at the box-office whereas 'Bala' might turn out to be another 100 crore success for Ayushmann Khurrana after 'Dream Girl'.
