'Baaghi 2' mints Rs 25.10 crore on day one; HIGHEST opener of 2018

Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani starrer "Baaghi 2" takes an earth shattering start. The film earned Rs 25.10 crore on the day one of its release and emerges highest opener of 2018. The film is a sequel to 2016 film "Baaghi" and also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Prateik Babbar and Deepak Dobriyal. The film has achieved a milestone by becoming the highest opener of 2018 followed by the highest Good Friday opener ever, the makers said in a release. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh released top 5 highest opening day grosser of 2018. 'Baaghi 2' surpassed 'Padmaavat' on the day one and tops the list by earning huge collection of Rs 25.10 crore. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' earned Rs 19 crore on release day. 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar also applauded Tiger Shroff's actions in the movie and compared him to Hollywood's action star Tony Jaa.
