Arjun Kapoor: Want Janhvi & Khushi to be fine as much as I would want Anshula

New Delhi: After the sudden demise of veteran actress Sridevi, Arjun Kapoor has stood thick and thin for his dad Boney Kapoor and sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. The Gunday actor’s sister Anshula also has bonded quite well with her half sisters and it is evident from their social media pictures. It won’t be wrong to say that Arjun and Anshula have played the perfect elder siblings to Janhvi and Khusi. Infact, the camaraderie between the four was on full display at Sonam Kapoor and Ahand Ahuja’s wedding reception in Mumbai. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Arjun Kapoor opened up about the change in equation with Janhvi and Khushi. The Mubarakan star said that he took the step after consulting his maternal aunt (maasi). "It's difficult for me to give a one-off reply, or in a 'by the way' manner. I actually need a lot of time to process what has happened. But I just did what I felt impulsively at that point. Between me and my sister (Anshula), we felt that it was the right thing to do. Also, it all happened after we consulted my maasi (maternal aunt), because I’ll always need her consent [for certain things] for her to be fine about our actions," the Ishqzaade actor told Hindustan Times. The 2 States actor further maintained that he wants Janhvi and Khushi to be fine as much he would want Anshula to be. “As somebody who has always been extremely close to his father, I want Janhvi and Khushi to be absolutely okay as much as I would want Anshula to be fine,” he told HT. When asked if he is excited about Janhvi’s debut film Dhadak, the Ki & Ka actor said that he is looking forward to watch the film. ‘’I’m very happy that people have reacted so positively to the trailer and also [to] Janhvi. She has started doing her [promotional] interviews, and she was at home a few days back to discuss how I went about my interviews during Ishaqzaade,’’ he told HT. Dhadak which stars Ishaan Khatter opposite Janhvi, will hit the silver screens on July 20. Although Arjun couldn’t attend the trailer launch of Dhadak, he posted a heartfelt message for his sister on Instagram. The Half Girlfriend actor had welcomed the aspiring actress into Bollywood with open arms.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor has two big films in his kitty- Namaste England and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Interestingly, he is paired opposite Parineeti Chopra in both the films. Watch this space for more updates!
