Singer Arijit Singh's Mother Passes Away Two Days After Testing Negative For COVID-19
Arijit Singh's mother Aditi Singh passed away after suffering a brain stroke on May 19. She had tested negative for COVID-19 on May 17.
Mumbai: Bollywood singer Arijit Singh’s mother Aditi Singh, who was recently admitted to Amri Hospital in Kolkata’s Dhakuria, passed away on May 19. She was hospitalized in a critical condition after she tested positive for COVID-19. She left for her heavenly abode on Wednesday due to COVID-related complications, two days after she tested negative for Coronavirus.
Arijit’s mother was admitted to Amri Hospital after she contracted the virus in April 2021. She died after suffering a brain stroke. She was 52.
Film director Srijit Mukherji, while talking to ABP News, confirmed the news of Arijit Singh's mother's death. He said, "Arijit, I and other members from the industry tried hard to save her but we couldn’t. She passed away on Wednesday after suffering a cerebral (brain) stroke.”
Srijit had requested his social media followers to donate blood for Arijit’s mother. He mentioned that the popular B-town singer’s mother needed an A- blood donor. Swastika Mukherjee had also urged fans to donate blood for Aditi Singh, who was admitted in Dakuria’s hospital.
Arijit's mother’s dead body was taken from Kolkata to Murshidabad for the last rites on Thursday morning.
