Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have urged the paparazzi to 'help and support them' in protecting the privacy of their daughter.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, who welcomed their first child on January 14, have requested the paparazzi to respect their privacy and not click photos of their newborn baby girl. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the first photo of Virushka's daughter on social media. They will have to wait for some time as the couple has made an earnest request to the media fraternity especially the photographers, urging them to not carry any photo of their baby girl. A Pictorial Journey Of Anushka Sharma To Motherhood Anushka and Virat requested the paparazzi, who were following Anushka to click her photos and videos before the birth of their child, to not carry any content that features their child. "Thank you for the love you you have showered on us for so many years. We are happy to celebrate these moments with you As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. However, as parents we will like to make a simple request to you. We want to protect the privacy of our baby and we need your help and support," Virushka said in a statement to the shutterbugs. The couple further added, "We have always ensured that you get the content related to us. However, this time we both are requesting you to not share or click any content featuring our daughter. We hope you will respect our sentiments and we will remain thankful for the same." Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have reportedly beefed up the security at the Breach Candy Hospital to safeguard their privacy. They are not even meeting their close relatives or accepting gifts or flowers from everyone. Virat's brother Vikas Kohli shared a post on Instagram to clarify that he posted a random photo to congratulate Virushka. Many outlets and fans assumed it to be Anushka and Virat's daughter's first photo. Vikas posted a note to clear the air. He wrote, "Guys let me clarify that the picture I posted yesterday to congratulate Anushka and Virat is a random picture and not the actual picture of the baby…as some media channels are reporting…posting to clarify." "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat," the RCB skipper said in his post.
Several tinsel town celebs including Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma have congratulated Virat and Anushka on social media. The couple, who got hitched on December 11, 2017, welcomed their first baby after three years of marriage.
