Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared 'Animal' teaser on X( Twitter) and wrote, "RANBIR KAPOOR: ‘ANIMAL’ TEASER IS HERE… This looks FANTASTIC… #RanbirKapoor and director #SandeepReddyVanga, this combo is sure to create HUNGAMA when #Animal releases."
The teaser revolves around the father-son relationship set in the backdrop of extreme bloodshed in the underworld which leads the protagonist to turn into a psychopath.
The 'Animal' teaser begins with Rashmika and Ranbir having a conversation where Ranbir is talking about having kids, and Rashmika says don't be like your dad, which makes Ranbir defend him, and call him ‘best father’. Anil Kapoor plays Ranbir's father in the film.
He then tells her she can ask him anything and he will be honest, but she can never speak about his father.
A traumatic father-son relationship transforms a handsome looking Ranbir Kapoor into a Punjabi-speaking goon who takes on an army of people and from the looks of it gets killed. The hair-raising teaser also gives a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor the most lethal avatar possible. The rather-honest take on priviledged familes and their kids and what they turn out to be is what the 'Animal' teaser seems to be suggesting.

'Animal' was officially announced by T-Series on January 1, 2021, with a video with actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Parineeti Chopra as cast and Sandeep Reddy Vanga as the director.
A few days later, Tripti Dimri was also reported to star in the movie. In March 2022, It was reported that Rashmika Mandanna replaced Parineeti Chopra, as she chose Imtiaz Ali's Chamkila over 'Animal'. Rashmika has been roped in to play Ranbir's wife Geetanjali.
'Animal' was scheduled to be released on August 11, 2023, but was pushed to December 1, 2023, due to pending post-production work.
