Amrita Rao & RJ Anmol Pledge To Donate Oxygen Cylinders On 5th Wedding Anniversary: 'Looking Forward To A Better World'

Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol have decided to offer their services to the nation by donating oxygen cylinders for the COVID-19 patients. The two made the announcement on their fifth wedding anniversary.

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Amrita Rao and her husband RJ Anmol, who tied the knot on May 15, 2016, are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday. The couple has pledged to extend support to India’s fight against COVID-19 donating oxygen cylinders. 

Amrita took to social media to inform her fans that she and her husband have been working with an organisation since the past one month. The ‘Vivah’ actress requested her followers to contribute towards COVID-19 relief work. 

The tinsel town diva also uploaded a throwback picture with RJ Anmol while sharing the post. 

“On our Wedding Anniversary today, we commit ourselves to donating Oxygen Cylinders to the people in need #throwbackpic. And We urge All of you to convert your good wishes into some service to the Society & to the Nation. Since the last month we have already been working with our @oxygenarmy1 (in Mumbai) with tremendous support from many of you generous donors ...and we pledge to continue so,” the ‘Main Hoon Na’ actress wrote. 

Many users wished the couple on their anniversary and lauded the duo for extending support to the people amid the COVID-19 crisis. One user wrote, “You are one in a million mam.” 

RJ Anmol re-posted his wife's Instagram post and said that he is 'blessed to have a like minded partner'. He wrote, "Looking forward to a Better World. Blessed to be with a Like Minded Partner."

Amrita and Anmol became parents of a baby boy in November 2020. They have named their newborn son Veer.

Several tinsel town celebs including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn have stepped up to help the people amid the pandemic. Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma have started a fundraiser to raise funds for COVID relief work. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan ordered 50 oxygen concentrators from Poland for the COVID-19 patients. 

The B-town stars also encouraging their followers to get vaccinated to keep COVID at bay. Many celebs have also promised to donate plasma for other patients.
