Amitabh Bachchan And Anushka Sharma To Face Action By Mumbai Police For Riding Bikes Without Helmets

Mumbai Police has taken action against superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Anushka Sharma after getting complaints from social media users who saw them riding bikes separately but without helmets.

New Delhi: Mumbai Police has taken action against superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Anushka Sharma after getting complaints from social media users who saw them riding bikes separately but without helmets. Anushka Sharma and her bodyguard boarded a bike following a roadblock, while Amitabh sought a lift from a fan to get to his workplace on Monday. They weren't wearing helmets, nor were their riders in either situation.

On Monday, Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media handle to share a gratification post for a person who recently gave him a ride on his bike and saved the actor from the "unsolvable traffic jams." Sharing a picture in which the superstar can be seen pillion riding, he wrote, "Thank you for the ride buddy .. don’t know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner."

A Twitter user reacted to the post and tagging Mumbai Police, wrote, "Missing helmets for both rider and pillion. @MumbaiPolice please take note!”

Responding to it, the Twitter handle of Mumbai Police wrote back, “We have shared this with traffic branch.” Similarly, when a video of Anushka Sharma riding a bike surfaced online, a user tweeted, “@MumbaiPolice No helmet?”

In reply, Mumbai Police informed that the traffic police have been informed about the same. Their comment read, “We have shared this with traffic branch.” The official Twitter handle of Mumbai Traffic Police was tagged in both tweets as well.

Amitabh Bachchan, who was on a break after recently suffering from a rib cage injury on the sets of his upcoming film 'Project K', is back to the grill post recovery. The superstar will be seen sharing screen space with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, in the film. Amitabh is also a part of Ribhu Dasgupta's next courtroom drama film 'Section 84'.
