New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback to the silver screen after four years with ‘Pathaan’ and the film is doing wonders at the box office creating new records each passing day. The actor took to Twitter on Friday and penned an advice for his fans.

The Pathaan actor quoted a line from the 1997 film Gattaca and wrote, “Gattaca movie “I never saved anything for the swim back” I think life is a bit like that….You aren’t meant to plan your return…U r meant to move forward. Don’t come back…try to finish what u started. Just a 57yr olds’ advice things.”

Meanwhile, ‘Pathaan’ collected Rs 70.5 crore nett on second day. The film's Hindi version amassed Rs 68 crore in net earnings, with its dubbed formats bringing in additional Rs 2.5 crore. With this the film’s total collection of two days in India is Rs 123 crore.

With its day two haul, the movie created another record -- first Hindi film to breach the Rs 70 crore nett collection on a single day.

Not only this, the film has also collected Rs 219.60 crore gross worldwide.

“As an industry, we are rejoicing today. This is the most important sentiment emerging out of Pathaan’s success. All of us at Yash Raj Films are grateful for the incredibly humbling support from media, audiences and the industry towards Pathaan. It is this unanimous love for the film that has resulted in Pathaan shattering all existing records and creating new ones. We are happy that the film has entertained everyone in such an immersive manner,” Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, said in a statement.

He added, “We share this moment with the entire team of Pathaan including our director Siddharth Anand, the superstars of our nation Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and every single person who has tirelessly worked in making Pathaan the gigantic success story that it has become today. Indians globally are celebrating the film and SRK’s return to the cinemas. It’s really special for us to witness this outpouring of warmth. We are overwhelmed as a team and we can only thank everyone for their belief in us as a team.”

"Pathaan" is the fourth film in producer Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe, following Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012) and "Tiger Zinda Hai" (2017), and "War", featuring Hrithik Roshan (2019).

The movie follows the titular spy Pathaan (Shah Rukh) who comes out of exile to stop terrorist group Outfit X, led by Jim (John Abraham), from launching a debilitating attack on India.  "Pathaan", which according to YRF has broken some 21 box office records, also has a guest appearance by Salman as fellow spy Tiger.

The film, also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is directed by Siddharth Anand.
