New Delhi: Happy Birthday Yash! The Kannada actor Naveen Kumar Gowda, better known by his stage name Yash, celebrates his 37th birthday today, on January 8. On the occasion, wishes are pouring in for the 'K.G.F.' star from all corners.
Begining his career with television serials in 2000s, Yash made his film debut with 'Jambada Hudugi' in 2007. He rose to immense fame nad popularity with his pan-India film 'K.G.F.', leaving the audience excited for the sequel that released in 2022 and became one of the highest grossers of the year.
In 2022, Megastar Yash’s period action drama 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' opened to a collection of a whopping 164 crores worldwide. It’s Hindi version itself grossed 54 crore, elbowing out big-ticket Bollywood entertainers and even Hollywood’s popular franchises like Avatar and Spiderman’s Indian collections, becoming the biggest opening not just of 2022 but in the history of Indian cinema.
After massive anticipation following the success of the first installment of K.G.F that took the nation by storm, Chapter 2 went on to break records and eventually became the 4th Indian movie to break the 1000 crore record and third highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
While Yash through his immense popularity, inimitable style and talent put the Kannada film industry on the world map, the megastar hopes to continue to conquer every step he takes. In an interview the actor was quoted saying, “Lot of people ask me, what do you do now, what can you do (post KGF success), I said what do you think, this is the ultimate (the success of KGF and box office numbers) maybe it is for you or someone else. I’m not somebody who is going to say that I must just encash this success, establish myself and just relax now. I’m not somebody who is built for administration, I’m somebody who is built to conquer much more. I'll do something which gives me excitement. It’s okay if I die fighting but I will be somebody who will be fighting for something that excites me.”
After making history as KGF’s Rocky, the megastar is all set to capture the imagination of Indian audiences yet again with his 19th film.
