Aamir Khan’s heroic act helps save his Dangal sound engineer Shajith Koyeri's life
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan turned out to be a life saviour for his ‘Dangal’ colleague Shajith Koyeri, who is the sound designer of the blockbuster film helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. The ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ actor’s quick assistance helped saved the life of the National Award winning sound engineer. A report in a leading daily suggested that the 44-year-old had a massive stroke and was taken to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. However, no doctor attended him, despite him lying on the hospital bed for hours after getting wheeled out of MRI room, the report added.
Koyeri’s family reportedly called Aamir and the ‘3 Idiots’ actor immediately arrived at the hospital at might (September 7) and got him shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The ‘PK’ star got in touch with Anil Ambani, the owner of the hospital and got Shajith treated as an emergency case, the report in Mumbai Mirror said.
Notably Shajith Koyeri has been awarded with two Filmfare and two IIFA Awards. He also won the National Award for his work in the film ‘Omkara’.
Neesha, Koyeri’s sister, thanked the superstar for his timely help and told the daily, ‘’had he not been there, who knows how bad it could have got?’’
On the professional front, Aamir Khan will be next seen in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, which releases on November 7. The much-awaited film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
