Confirming the Christmas 2024 release date, Aamir expressed his optimism during the mid-February screening of 'Laapataa Ladies', a film he co-produced with ex-wife Kiran Rao.

In an interview with TV9, Aamir said, “My next film as a lead actor, which has just begun filming, is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun.”

Aamir Khan's last movie was Advait Chandan's ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which was based on the American movie ‘Forrest Gump’ from 1994. A lot of people were looking forward to the release of the movie, but it didn't live up to the hype and was a disappointment at the box office.

Genelia, on the other hand, has been very picky about the films she chooses. Her most recent two, the Marathi love drama ‘Ved’ (2022), which was directed by her husband Riteish Deshmukh for the first time, and the Hindi comedy-drama ‘Trial Period’, both got good reviews.
