50th Kerala State Film Awards: Vasanthi bagged the award for the best film while Lijo Jose Pellissery pipped others to win the Best Directo Award for Jallikattu.

New Delhi: The winners of the 50th Kerala State Film Awards were announced on Tuesday (October 13) by Minister for Culture, AK Balan. Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kani Kusruti, who are known for their power-packed performances, bagged the Best Actor and Best Actress award respectively. While Suraj won the award for his performance in 'Android Kunjappan Version 5.25' and 'Vikruthi', Kani Kusruti walked away with Best Actress' trophy for 'Biriyani'. Child artists Vasudev Sajeesh Mara and Catherine Viji won in the Best Child Artist category. Anna Ben (Helen), Nivin Pauly  (Moothon) and Priyamvadha Krishna (Thottapan) got 'Special Jury mention' at the Kerala State Film Awards.
