Actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Mumbai hospital after experiencing trouble in breathing for the past few days.

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to non-Covid Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai's Khar after encountering issues in breathing. The actor will be monitored by the doctors now. Dilip Kumar has been facing problems in breathing for the past few days.

Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu spoke to ABP News and informed that the actor was not keeping well for the past few days. She also informed that Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital at around 8:30 am on Sunday. She said that tests are being conducted under the supervision of Cardiologist  Dr. Nitin Gokhale. Saira Banu also requested fans to pray for Dilip Kumar's smooth and fast recovery. However, it is not yet clear now if Dilip Kumar is facing some more trouble.

Last month, the actor was admitted to the same hospital for a routine check-up. He was, however, quickly released after all the tests were conducted.

Before the imposition of the nationwide lockdown in March last year, Dilip Kumar revealed that he and his wife, actress Saira Banu, were under "complete isolation and quarantine" as a precautionary measure against coronavirus. In a separate post, he requested his fans to "stay indoors as much as possible."

Last year, the screen icon lost his two younger brothers — Aslam Khan (88) and Ehsan Khan (90) — due to COVID-19. Kumar, who made his debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944, has appeared in several iconic films in his career spanning over five decades, including Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, Ram Aur Shyam, among others. He was last seen on the big screen in Qila in 1998.
