SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu Inappropriately Touched At Lollapalooza Berlin, Fans React With Anger

Fans said that SEVENTEEN's Mingyu has been sexualized before and some people think they can act without caring about consent.

Fans are upset after SEVENTEEN's Mingyu was inappropriately "touched" during his recent Lollapalooza performance. SEVENTEEN performed in front of a large crowd in Berlin on September 8. When a fan was spotted inappropriately touching the idol, it sparked outrage online. 

SEVENTEEN's Mingyu touched inappropriately at Lollapalooza 

As SEVENTEEN took the stage, the fans were thrilled to see them up close for the first time.  Mingyu, in particular, is said to have stepped off stage and approached the barricade to interact with fans. Unfortunately, as he was talking with the audience, someone reached out and touched his body, notably his abs.

Fans were upset with the person responsible, saying that Mingyu has been sexualized before and some people think they can act without caring about consent. They also stressed that touching someone without permission is never okay, and Mingyu’s gesture of getting close to the audience should have been respected.
