On being asked by Amitabh asked what he would do with the winning amount, Koshlendra replied that he would first get plastic surgery done on his wife’s face.
Amitabh was left astonished and said, “Plastic surgery but why?” To that, Koshlendra is reportedly said, “I am tired of seeing the same face for the past 15 years).” However, the contestant was also taken aback by Amitabh’s reaction, and instantly responded saying it was just a joke.
Although the actor, too, laughed and categorically told his wife to not listen to her husband, but gently rebuked Koshlendra and said that he should not say such things even as a joke.
Koshlendra didn’t manage to win a big amount in the show left with a small amount of Rs 40,000. As part of the promotion, ahead of the airing of the episode, Sony TV’s promo said how Koshlendra is fondly called ‘superhero sachiv’ by the folks of Gujerkhedi district. In his opinion, if the villages are provided with all the financial support and resources, they could dwarf urban life and embody peace, health and prosperity. Hence, he had established a skill development centre in his village and wants to spread the message of ‘going vocal for local’ through the hot seat.
The eight question in which the contestant got stuck was on the book - The Indian War of Independence, 1857 . The question was about the author of the book. Options given were as the following: Winston Churchill, Jawaharlal Nehru, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar or Rabindranath Tagore and the correct answer was Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. But the Koshlendra had already exhausted all his lifelines.
