GHMC Election Result 2020: Kangana Ranaut Lauds BJP's Performance, Slams Congress
The Bollywood actress, quoted a tweet, which mentioned that BJP in the counting of votes was leading on 72 seats, followed by K Chandrasekhar Rao led Telugu Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on 31 and Owaisi led AIMIM on 13. The list left the Congress party out of the frame, failing to lead on any seat.
GHMC Election Results: As BJP put up a stellar performance in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls, Bollywood firebrand actress Kangana Ranaut, took to Twitter to laud the saffron party's outstanding performance in the polls, while at the same time she slammed the Congress party.

“Dear @INCIndia while your government ruled states are in mess and doing Kangana Kangana whole day, can’t help but notice @BJP4India is ruling hearts of their toughest critics and entering new territories,” her tweet quoted.
The Bollywood actress, quoted a tweet, which mentioned that BJP in the counting of votes was leading on 72 seats, followed by K Chandrasekhar Rao led Telugu Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on 31 and Owaisi led AIMIM on 13. The list left the Congress party out of the frame of failing to lead on any seat.
As the results of 132 seats of the 150 seats were announced by the Friday evening, TRS won 53 seats, BJP 35, AIMIM 42 and Congress only managed to get 2 seats.
The high-stake municipal corporation elections, witnessed heavyweight campaigners, from the BJP, which included Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and party President JP Nadda, to stir the sentiments of the city.
The GHMC is the fifth-largest municipal corporations in the country, spreading across four districts of Telangana including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Sangareddy.
The elections witnessed a polarising campaign by most parties that seemed to focus more on Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and whether Hyderabad wants its name changed to Bhagyanagar than sanitation, roads, and water supply.
It is also worth mentioning that the state is due for assembly elections next year.

In the 2016 elections, AIMIM had won 44 seats. The TRS had pocketed 99 seats while the BJP secured just 4 seats. The TDP and Congress won two seats each.
