Diwali 2022 Special: 'Doctor G' To 'Kantara' And 'Thank God', Movies To Watch This Festive Season

Diwali long weekend is all scheduled and here are 6 worth watching movies with your family and friends for those fun and memorable moments.

New Delhi: Festive Season is here and families are gathering together to celebrate this special occasion. In this busy and hustling life, these festivals are the only way families can have moments together. On such occassions, watching movies can be an excellent idea. We are here with a list of some brilliant movies to make your family time absolutely worth it.

1) Doctor G

Another masterpiece of Ayushmann Khurrana, a medical campus comedy with a serious message for society. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Junglee pictures, this movie is a satire on the pre-set mind of society. Released on October 14, it is already a choice of youth to watch with their friends This is a must-watch movie and now that the movie team clarifies that this can be watched with family as well, one must give it a try.

2) RamSetu

Another movie based on mythical research is set to mark Diwali celebrations, releasing on October 25. Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandes starer movie follows an archeologist who is investigating the existence of bridge RamSetu. 

 

3) Thank God

Siddharth Malhotra and Rakulpreet Singh are again together in the fantasy comedy movie directed by Indra Kumar. Ajay Devgan and Nora Fatehi also worked in this movie which is clashing in cinemas with Akshay Kumar starer Ram Setu on October 25.

 

4) Padavettu

Upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by debutante director Liju Krishna for Yoodlee films. The film starring Nivin Pauly, Aditi Balan, and Shammi Thilakan is a movie that explains the surpassed section of society in North Kerala. The movie will release this Friday, on October 21.

 

5) Sardar

Starring Karthi, this Tamil film is a spy action thriller, all set to release on October 21. This movie is also a Tamil industry debut for Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey and actor Laila’s comeback after 17 years. Direction has been done by P.S. Mithran.

 

6) Gandhada Gudi 

An upcoming Kannada- language movie is scheduled to release on October 28. Late actor Puneeth Rajkumar starrer docu-drama film is directed by Amoghvarsha JS. it’s a drama project which is a tribute to the heritage of Karnataka.

7) Kantara 

An action thriller film released on September 30, is still receiving love from viewers. Directed by Rishabh Shetty, the film is based on the story of a DRFO and stars Rishab Shetty and Kishor. Gaining praises and critical acclaims from all corners for its unique plot and storyline, 'Kantara' has managed to mark its place among one of the highest grossers of the year.
