Deepika Padukone Dedicates Her Role In ‘83’ To Her Mother, Shares Heart-Warming Video

New Delhi: One of the biggest superstars in the country Deepika Padukone has been witnessed playing the role of former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in the movie ‘83’. She was seen opposite her husband Ranveer Singh who played the role of Kapil Dev in this sports biopic. Deepika not only acted in this movie but is also the producer of ‘83’.

Now, in one of her latest posts on social media, Deepika Padukone revealed why she did the film and also penned down a heartfelt note for her mother. The ‘Pathan’ actress shared a heart-warming video from the screening of ‘83’ and wrote, “My Dearest Amma, I did this film ONLY & ONLY for you! I’ve said this before and il say it again…We walk away with all the credit and glory but the sacrifice of a spouse and his or her family always goes unnoticed! My little contribution to #83thefilm is to recognise and acknowledge every homemaker who puts the dreams of her spouse, her children and her family ahead of her own…”

Helmed by Kabir Khan, ‘83’ has been garnering praises from the viewers. Many celebrities including Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Alia Bhatt and others praised the team of ‘83’ for this film. Other than Deepika and Ranveer, the movie also features Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree in pivotal roles.

Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, has a number of other projects in her kitty. She will be next seen featuring in a lead role in ‘Gehraiyaan’, ‘Pathan’, ‘Fighter’, ‘The Intern’ and Nag Ashwin’s ‘Project K’ alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
