“Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is the third bonafide HIT [HINDI films] of 2023, after Pathaan [January] and The Kerala Story [May]… MOST IMPORTANTLY, the super-success of two mid-sized films [The Kerala Story and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke] clearly indicates that content is KING and audiences are KING MAKERS,” he added.
The story of 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' is set in the small city of Indore. Kapil and Saumya, two college sweethearts who are smitten with one another, are the main characters of the film.
The film review on ABP Live reads: Laxman Utekar adds some slice of the new and modern thinking to the traditional template and mixes the joint family + love marriage model into an acceptable model of consensus narrative through which it also manages to bring forward complex dynamics of inter-caste marriages, love marriages, joint family dynamics, 'the popular debate on kanjoos husbands' etc etc.
Laxman Utekar, whose previous works include the box office successes 'Mimi' and 'Luka Chuppi', is the film's director. The film also stars Sushmita Mukherjee, Neeraj Sood, Rakesh Bedi and Sharib Hashmi.
