With a career spanning over three decades, Shah Rukh Khan has delivered countless iconic performances that have resonated with audiences across generations. His ability to effortlessly switch between genres, coupled with his magnetic screen presence, has solidified his position as one of the most influential actors in the world.

When SRK talked about taking Indian cinema to Hollywood

In an old clip that recently surfaced on social media from one of his interviews, Shah Rukh Khan candidly expressed his perspective on the Hollywood dream.

While acknowledging the allure of the global film industry, he emphasised his desire to elevate Indian cinema on the world stage rather than pursuing a career in Hollywood.

On being asked if he ever plans to work in the dream factory that is Hollywood, SRK said, "My english is not good. If they give me the role of a dumb person, who doesn't speak maybe. I am not trying to be modest, but, I think I am 42 years old, I am a little brown, I don't have any special USP as an actor. I don't have any specialty as an actor. I don't know Kung-fu, I don't dance the Latin salsa, I am not tall enough. I think anyone who's my age in the western world, I have seen some of the recent films in Europe, I have seen a lot of films of what you call the Dream Factory , I think there is no space for me."

Being his humble self, he further continued, "There is no place for me because I don't think I am that talented so I would like to continue doing work in India and hopefully take Indian cinema to the world. That's the ambition I have. I have been working for long and I would like people to see Indian movies because I have been put in a place where I have become inportant in my world of cinema, I would like through me, you know, people in Germany or in America, or in places which don't popularly watch Indian films, perhaps in my lifetime, I can take it there!"
