According to Siddhant Chaturvedi, becoming romantically involved with a co-star will impact the work on set.
New Delhi: The sequel of Dharma Productions' ‘Dhadak’ will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in key roles. As production of ‘Dhadak 2’ was going on, Triptii's film, ‘Animal’, came out, making her a national sensation overnight. In a recent interview, Siddhant Chaturvedi was asked if he also developed a crush on his fellow co-star. To this, Siddhant said that he is careful not to develop romantic feelings for any of the females he works with.
Talking about not having crush on Triptii Dimri, Siddhant Chaturvedi told Siddharth Kannan, “Nahi mujhe nahi hua (crush). Bohot sweet, bohot kamaal ki insaan hai wo. Lekin main jaha kaam karta hoon, waha dil nahi lagata. Kaam me dil lagata hoon, jinke saath kaam karta hoon, wahan dil nahi lagata. (No, she is very sweet, she is a very amazing person, but I don't put my heart into the place where I work. I put my heart into the work, I don't put my heart into the people I work with).”
Siddhant Chaturvedi on 'Clean Distance Friendship' policy
According to Siddhant Chaturvedi, becoming romantically involved with a co-star might impact the work on set. He said, “Jhagde hote hai, muh fulana hota hai, bhot saari cheeje hoti hai. Aur waisa naa ho ki aaj dono ke beech jhagda hua hai aur uss wajah se cheejein affect ho film me, process me. Maan lo, romantic scene karna hai aur hua hai tumhara jhagda toh wo nahi kr payenge. Wo space me aana hi nahi hai. Toh wo acha hai ki clean distance friendhsip rahe. (There are fights, there is sulking, a lot of things happen in a relationship. It should not happen that today the mood is like this, there has been a fight between both of them, and because of that things get affected in the process of the film. Suppose, you have to do a romantic scene, there has been a fight, then that should not be done. That should not come in the space. So, it is good that a clean distance friendship should remain).”
Giving an example of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, he added, “I see the most beautiful chemistry which has happened on screen with Shahrukh and Kajol. It has been like this because of the friendship because if you go beyond that, it gets a little messy. I don't want to do that ever in my life.”
