New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor made his screen debut with the 2003 movie Ishq Vishk, but long before that, Shahid had worked as a background dancer in a number of films. In one of those movies, 'Taal', Shahid and Aishwarya Rai can be seen dancing to the song "Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaaye." Shahid recently discussed filming that scene in a discussion and referred to it as the "worst and the best day of my life at that time."

In a conversation with Radio Nasha, Shahid recalled that he had an accident on the way to the shoot, leaving him agitated when he arrived on the set. But later, he was given the opportunity to appear in a significant shot. The actor shared, "No one knows this, but that day I met with an accident. I used to ride my motorcycle and I fell off it. So, I remember I reached the set very flustered because I had fallen off and I was like, what just happened with me? And that was the day this happened with me. I’ll always remember it as the worst and the best day of my life at that time."

Shahid had also performed as a background dancer in Yash Chopra's 'Dil To Pagal Hai' a few years before 'Taal'. The movie was the first Hindi movie directed by dancer Shiamak Davar, and it featured numerous dance performances. Shiamak served as Shahid's trainer.

Shahid recalled being a "nervous wreck" the entire time he was on the Dil to Pagal Hai set because he didn't want to mess anything up since he was still a "rookie."

The actor, who will next be seen in 'Bloody Daddy', shared, "Dil To Pagal Hai… I have no favourite memories. My hair was bouncing around too much and I was spoiling the shot so I was really nervous. I had just joined Shiamak’s troupe, so I was probably one of the rookies there. I was just nervous all the time. I was a nervous wreck, just hoping I don’t mess things up.”
