Ranveer Singh Shares Maldives Photo To Support 'Indian Islands' Picture, Eagle-Eyed Netizens Spot Mistake
Celebrities from Bollywood, such as Ranveer, are well known for taking regular trips to the Maldives.
New Delhi: Ranveer Singh is among the Bollywood stars who joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi in promoting island tourism. Celebrities such as Salman Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kangana Ranaut are encouraging people to discover the amazing beauty of the islands.
Ranveer Singh joined actors who supported Lakshadweep and promoted Indian tourism. But in his tweet, he mistakenly used a photo from 2016 of the Maldives rather than Lakshadweep. After hours, the actor wrote a note without any photographs after fans pointed out the error in the tweet.
Ranveer took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday and wrote, “This year let’s make 2024 about exploring India and experiencing our culture. There is so much to see and explore across the beaches and the beauty of our country. Chalo India let’s #exploreindianislands Chalo bharat dekhe (Let's explore India).”

Chalo India let’s #exploreindianislands

Twitter users, however, were quick to point out that the picture he posted with this description is really from the Maldives, not Lakshadweep or any other Indian island. As soon as someone pointed out the error, Ranveer quickly removed the post and released it again, but this time without a picture just to be safe.
You are promoting Indian islands while putting a picture of Maldives.
