Ranbir Kapoor Shares Wife Alia Bhatt Helped Him Through Many Intense Scenes In 'Animal'

During a recent conversation, Ranbir shared that he was nervous about several of the film's scenes because he thought they would be overly dramatic.

New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor, who is sometimes referred to as the "chocolate boy" of Bollywood, surprised viewers with his passionate and unique persona in the teaser for his next film, Animal. During a recent conversation, Ranbir shared that he was nervous about several of the film's scenes because he thought they would be overly dramatic. The actor did, however, admit that his wife Alia Bhatt, a National Award winner, was crucial in assuaging his concerns.

Online users have been sharing a video clip of Ranbir talking about how Alia helped him get through some difficult parts in Animal. Ranbir expressed in the clip, "“Alia and me speak so much about each other’s work. I really respect her as an artiste and I really respect her mind and how she thinks. Every scene or everyday when I going to shoot the film, I would discuss it with her and she has helped me with so many scenes. She has helped me with scenes where I was scared as an actor that ‘Is it sounding too wrong?'”

“I have never pushed the boundaries so much as a character. I have always tried to portray goodness on the screen. She played that barometer, saying, ‘Listen it is fine. It’s a character and it is making sense. There is an idea and thought behind it.’ She has been a strong support when this film is concerned," he further added.

During the pre release event of 'Animal' in Hyderabad, RRR director SS Rajamouli said, "People have always asked me about my favourite actor in Bollywood. Without hesitation, I can say it is Ranbir Kapoor! He is an incredibly intense actor. Though I haven’t seen all of his films, I have observed the intensity and vulnerability in Ranbir’s performances. In his 17-year career, he has chosen only a select few projects, each exploring his potential as an actor, with Animal standing out among them. I sincerely hope that Ranbir continues to lead the industry.”

Animal, which is helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, who is well-known for films like Arjun Reddy and its Hindi adaption Kabir Singh, is scheduled to hit theatres on December 1 and will be clashing at the box-office with Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur.
