SS Rajamouli Calls Ranbir Kapoor His Favourite Actor: 'He Is An Incredibly Intense Actor'

SS Rajamouli and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, attended the largest pre-release event of Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' on Monday in Hyderabad.

New Delhi: With just three days remaining before the highly anticipated world premiere of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, the entire crew is fully engrossed in promotional endeavours. Prominent members of the Telugu film industry, including RRR director SS Rajamouli and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, attended the largest pre-release event for the film on Monday in Hyderabad.

In his speech to the crowd, Rajamouli praised Ranbir Kapoor and conveyed his great respect for the actor, naming him as his favourite in Bollywood.

Rajamouli expressed, “People have always asked me about my favourite actor in Bollywood. Without hesitation, I can say it is Ranbir Kapoor! He is an incredibly intense actor. Though I haven’t seen all of his films, I have observed the intensity and vulnerability in Ranbir’s performances. In his 17-year career, he has chosen only a select few projects, each exploring his potential as an actor, with Animal standing out among them. I sincerely hope that Ranbir continues to lead the industry.”

Rajamouli and Ranbir, meanwhile, shared a lighthearted moment on-stage during the event. The actor from Animal was asked by the RRR director who he would rather work with next, between himself and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Even though Ranbir tried to humorously avoid the topic by bringing up the concept of double shifts, Rajamouli insisted on a precise response. Ranbir said, "I am going to be a loyal actor, and I will have to choose Sandeep Reddy Vanga right now, sir, to which Rajamouli responded "Fantastic."

At a pre-event press conference, Ranbir revealed that he signed his first autograph in Hyderabad. The actor said, "“I love coming to Hyderabad; the first autograph I ever gave was here while promoting Saawariya. I want to be the adopted son of the Telugu states."

Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor are surely impressing fans with everything 'Animal' related. As Sandeep Reddy Vanga fans await the film's release in theaters, its advance bookings were opened during the weekend.

As per latest reports on Sacnilk.com, 'Animal' is already on its way to cross Rs. 10 cr mark. The Ranbir Kapoor film has already raked in Rs. 5 cr from the three theatre chains-PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. The total ticket sales have crossed more than 128k mark.
