Radhikka Madan Shares Her Regret Over Limited Talks With Irrfan Khan During 'Angrezi Medium'
Radhika Madan reflects on working with the late actor Irrfan Khan in his last film 'Angrezi Medium'.
New Delhi: Those who knew and worked with Irrfan were profoundly affected by his death in 2020. Recently, actress Radhikka Madan shared touching recollections of her time working on set with the late Irrfan Khan. She worked with Irrfan in the 2020 film ‘Angrezi Medium’, which also marked the latter’s last film.
Radhikka Madan said that she regretted not having more conversations with the renowned actor during the shooting. In an interview with The Times of India, the actress said, “I was recently showing the film (Angrezi Medium) to my friend as he had not seen it, and I kept on wondering if I will ever be able to do a film like that again. I was remembering Irrfan Sir. I was wondering why didn't I speak to him more, and get things out of him.”
Radhikka felt regretful that she wasn't speaking to him more often. She continued, “I was very quiet on the sets and tried to give him space. I was just focusing on my character and wanted to see him as just my father .. I thought I would have a lot of time with him to discuss movies, acting and craft once after the film but he was going through so much. I never spoke unless I was spoken to.”
About ‘Angrezi Medium’
‘Angrezi Medium’ is a heartwarming story of a dedicated single father and his daughter, who aspires to study abroad. In order to encourage his daughter's aspirations, the father (Irrfan) uses several inventive strategies. Cast members include Ranvir Shorey, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Tripathi, and Deepak Dobriyal; the film was directed by Homi Adajania.
Since it was Irrfan's last onscreen performance, it is particularly meaningful. He won Best Actor and Lifetime Achievement, from the 66th Filmfare Awards.
Coming back to Radhikka Madan, the actress is recently getting attention from her recently released film ‘Sarfira’. The film starrirg Akshay Kumar is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
