Due to an increase in infection, folk singer Sharda Sinha has been kept in the ICU. Sources have indicated that her treatment is ongoing, and doctors are closely monitoring her health. Sharda Sinha has been battling multiple myeloma since 2018, and she has been hospitalised for nearly two weeks.

Sharda Sinha has sung folk songs in multiple languages, including Maithili and Bhojpuri. She has also lent her voice to Bollywood films, singing for movies like 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun'. Recently, on October 30, her son Anshuman Sinha released the audio of her new song, delighting her fans, especially those who celebrate Chhath.
