New Delhi: The latest episode of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' features Shatrughan Sinha, Poonam Sinha, their daughter Sonakshi, and Sonakshi's husband Zaheer Iqbal. Reddit users noticed an uncomfortable moment and shared a video of Poonam Sinha making fun of her daughter Sonakshi and son-in-law Zaheer Iqbal.

The video quickly went viral where Poonam seemingly took a jibe at Sonakshi and Zaheer, saying, "Meri mummy ne kaha tha ki hamesha ussi se shaadi karna jo tumko zyada pyaar kare. Voh toh maine sunn liya, kar bhi liya. Lekin meri beti ne kya kiya? Usne usse shaadi ki jisko yeh zyada pyaar karti hai."

Sonakshi shot back at her mother, "Voh thoda debatable hai. Usko (Zaheer) lagta hai voh mujhse zyada pyaar karta hai. Mujhe lagta hai main usse zyada pyaar karti hoon. Ab settle kaun karega yeh maamla?"

Fans analysed the awkwardness of the situation on Reddit, where the interaction rapidly went viral. Many users described the video as an "awkward watch," with several pointing out that Zaheer Iqbal seemed visibly hurt by Poonam Sinha's comments. 

A fan said, "The way Sonakshi handled it is really impressive," praising Sonakshi's handling of the matter. Another one said, "Sona kept defending her husband from her parents constant bashing and taunting towards Zaheer disguised in humour." 

One person suggested, “Because she married someone from another religion, that’s probably a problem for her,” as a possible explanation for Sonakshi’s mom’s behaviour.

After years of keeping their romance under wraps, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married on June 23 under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act in Mumbai. The duo appeared together in the 2022 film 'Double XL'.
