Ashish and Rupali are reportedly vacationing in Singapore.

Ashish Vidyarthi's wedding and the backlash he got
Last month the actor married Rupali Barua, who's from Assam but lives in Kolkata, where she's associated with a fashion store, in a low-key civil ceremony.  For the wedding, while Rupali wore a beautiful white mekhela paired with gold temple jewellery, Ashish wore a white and gold 'mundu'.

Ashish also told India Today about the backlash he got after getting married for the second time. "I read words like ‘buddha-khoosat (old and decrepit)’ and many more derogatory words. What is interesting is that it is a comment that each one of us, whoever is saying that, we are passing on others who are older than us, and at the same time, we are giving that fear to ourselves, because each one of us, hopefully, will become old. We are telling ourselves, ‘Hey, listen, don't do things just because you're old.’ So, does that mean you're supposed to die unhappy? If somebody wants companionship, why should he not?,” he said.

Ashish's previous marriage
The actor was earlier married to Piloo Vidyarthi, daughter of yesteryear actress Shakuntala Barua. They have a son. Arth Vidyarthi.

In a video posted on Instagra after his marriage, the actor then spoke about his ex-wife and how at one point they both realised they want different things from life and parted ways amicably.

“22 years back Piloo and I met and we got married. Well, it was an amazing one. We had Arth who is now 22, he is working. But somehow for the last few years, Piloo and I discovered that after this beautiful inning that we played together, we felt how we saw the future was slightly different from one another. We realised that differences can be sorted out but it could be in a way that one of us will impose on the other and that will take away from the happiness. And happiness is what we all want, right? So we decided, If we can’t walk together amicably, let’s walk separately but remain amicable and we parted ways with grace,” he said.

Ashish, who has been a part of films like Soldier, Ziddi, was last seen in web series Rana Naidu and Trial by Fire and movie ‘Kuttey.’
