Monali Thakur Storms Off Stage Mid-Concert In Varanasi, Slams 'Irresponsible' Event Organisers

Playback singer Monali Thakur's recent concert in Varanasi turned into a disheartening experience for both her and the audience due to severe mismanagement by the event organisers.

New Delhi: Playback singer Monali Thakur's recent concert in Varanasi had to be abruptly cancelled due to serious organiser error, leaving fans and the artist both disappointed. Famous for songs like ‘Sawaar Loon’ and ‘Cham Cham’, Monali Thakur had to leave the stage because of safety issues caused by an ill-prepared stage.

The artist sent an emotional apology to her followers after the event in which she apologised for the disturbance and conveyed her regret. She also assured that future concerts would be planned in a way that prioritises safety and provides a more seamless experience.

Monali Thakur Criticises Event Organisers

In a now-viral video, the singer can be heard saying, "I am disheartened that my team and I were so excited to perform here. Let's not talk about the infrastructure and its condition, as that is the management's responsibility. Time and again, I've said that I could injure my ankle here. My dancers have been telling me to calm down, but everything was a mess."

She expressed her anger with the organisers' lack of preparedness by saying, "I could have injured myself while performing on stage with my dancers." To the event planners, Monali Thakur admonished them for being "irresponsible and unethical."
