Jewellery Brand Accuses Avneet Kaur Of 'Exploitation' Over Uncredited Collaboration And Non-Payment
Indian jewellery brand Rang claims that actress Avneet Kaur did not pay them after using their jewellery pieces.
New Delhi: Avneet Kaur, an actor and social media influencer, is in the middle of controversy after the homegrown jewellery brand Rang accused her of breaking a social media collaboration agreement. The brand has provided a long statement and screenshots to back up its claim. They described their deal with Avneet as the "worst experience to date."
On Instagram, Rang has accused Avneet Kaur of breaking her promise. While in Europe, Avneet—who made headlines at Cannes—received many pieces of jewellery from Rang, according to the jewellery brand. She was accused of not tagging Rang despite several assurances that she would showcase and give credit to the business in her social media postings.
The actress wore their jewellery seven times, according to a long social media post by Rang, who included screenshots of their conversations with Avneet's stylist. Vivienne Westwood and Dior were among the luxury names that Avneet highlighted in her postings, but Rang was noticeably missing.

The post reads: “Despite wearing RANG alongside high-end brands like Dior and Vivienne Westwood, she only tagged these luxury brands in her posts, misrepresenting them as the sole source of her accessories.”
Avneet reportedly told her stylist, "Hey, I will pay them. How much does it cost?" in response to the brand's attempt to resolve the issue. The jewellery brand also said that Avneet refuses to reply to their bills, even though they first stated that it was mostly about their social media collaboration.
The brand also clarified, "This isn’t about naming and shaming anyone, but about speaking the truth."
