A day after the accident, Govinda's daughter Tina Ahuja, who has been with her father througout told PTI that the family is hoping for his speedy recovery.
New Delhi: Bollywood actor who accidentally injured his leg after his revolver went off at his Mumbai residence has been shifted to a regular ward on Wedneday, his family shared updates about his health to news agency PTI.

The incident was reported when he was about to leave for the airport. The 60-year-old actor had a surgery after the tragic incident and is now recovering at a private hospital. A day after the accident, Govinda's daughter Tina Ahuja, who has been with her father througout told PTI that the family is hoping for his speedy recovery.
“Papa is getting better, God has been very kind. Please keep him in your prayers. He has been shifted from the ICU to the normal ward; everything is good now,” PTI quoted Tina Ahuja as saying.
She also noted that her father was 'healthy and happy', adding, "He will be discharged very soon. He's been given drips and antibiotics, and we're hoping for a speedy discharge.”

Earlier in the day, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja also shared his health update with all and asked his fans not to panic. She said that the yesteryear star could be discharged by Friday ,"With everyone's blessings, he has recovered. So many people are praying for him, he has such a massive fan following. I'd like to tell fans please don't panic. He will start dancing in a few months," she told the reporters.
The actor received 8-10 stitches after a bullet hit him below his left knee, according to the doctor, Dr Ramesh Agarwal, who attended Govinda. Meanwhile, the local police and the Mumbai crime branch initiated a parallel enquiry into the incident even when no complaint has been logged, PTI reported.
