Kartik Aaryan on financial difficulties he faced
Kartik shared that he moved into a new home by himself after the success of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama'. However, as his subsequent films struggled at the box office, so did his finances. “I moved into a house where I lived alone but I was struggling a lot then. I didn’t have much money coming in, and my films were not working,” he said, referencing early projects like 'Akaash Vaani', 'Kaanchi', and 'Guest in London', which did not meet expectations.
Kartik described how those lean years made him question his choices. “I was going through a lot of struggle when I lived here, but I was very connected to this place. There was a point where I couldn’t pay the rent of this house. It was a very strange time because I was thinking either I bring in some roommates or I start sharing with someone else. Then finally 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety happened',” he told Mashable. It was with this film, seven years into his career, that Kartik finally tasted commercial success, marking a turning point in his life.
