New Delhi: Rapper Badshah recently recalled the time when he met Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan soon after the two actors had reconciled following their five-year-long spat.
On Raj Shamani’s podcast, the rapper revealed that his manager told him that SRK wants to meet him. When he reached there, he found Salman in the company of SRK as the two were busy sharing anecdotes with each other.
“I met Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan at the backstage of an award show. I think they’d just had their patch up, apparently. I remember my manager telling me, ‘Shah Rukh sir is calling you’. I went to meet him, Salman sir was also there,” the rapper told Raj Shamani on his podcast.
“They were talking to each other. I was standing there looking at them. Later, food was served, and they fed me biryani. They were sharing anecdotes with each other, and I was listening to them. Then I had to leave,” he added.
SRK and Salman Khan had a publicised fallout that originated from an incident at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in 2008. They finally patched-up in 2103 in Baba Siddiqui’s iftar party.
On the same podcast, the rapper spoke about his band Mafia Mundeer, which also included Honey Singh, Raftaar, Ikka and Lil’ Golu. Badshah shared about Honey becoming self-centered and focusing on his individual career and neglecting the other members of the band.
“We made songs but they were not released. Honey was just concentrating on his career. I was associated with Mafia Mundeer since 2006, and by 2009, my parents were very worried about me. In 2011, my first song with Honey came out– ‘Get up Jawani’. We are also creating so many songs, please consider us as well. We have left everything behind and come here. You (Honey) should not be so self-centered. On one hand, you (Honey Singh) call us brothers, but on the other, you fail to acknowledge our struggles. He made us sign blank papers; what about those contracts? It was a tough phase,” Badshah told Raj Shamani.
