After months of eager anticipation, the joyous news was shared by Anushka on her social media platforms, sending waves of excitement through their fan base and the celebrity community. 

The unique name of Anushka and Virat’s son, Akaay, has sparked curiosity, with many speculating about its Turkish origins and gender-neutral significance. 

The name "Akaay" has a neutral meaning and originates from Turkey; it means "shining moon". Even in Sanskrit, the term has a place, although it denotes a devoid of shape or body. 

The couple's enthusiasm for traditional Indian names and their cultural heritage is reflected in this profound and distinctive name.

The happy parents have not yet revealed the boy's name or its origin. 

Previously, the couple revealed the sacred meaning behind their daughter's name, Vamika. Their daughter was named after the goddess Durga, who is often shown as standing on Shiva's left flank (the vam).

In a joint statement, Anushka and Virat announced the birth of their second child on Tuesday evening over social media.
