Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas has passed away. As the country mourns the death of the veteran singer, the music industry and many of Udhas’ contemporaries mourned the singer’s death.

Anoop Jalota remembered Pankaj Udhas and shared some special things about his personality with ABP News.

Anoop Jalota said that he knew for the last 5-6 months that Pankaj was seriously ill and had cancer.
During this unfortunate time,Anup Jalota emotionally remembered his 45-years-old friendship with Pankaj as well as his singing journey and described him as an excellent ghazal singer and human being.
Well-known singer Rahul Vaidya also remembered late Pankaj Udhas.

Rahul Vaidya said that the credit for keeping ghazal singing alive in today's times goes to Pankaj Udhas and he was an excellent ghazal singer.
Rahul Vaidya said that he has met Pankaj Udhas three-four times and he was a very soft-spoken and polite person and when he used to sing, it seemed as if he was talking to you very politely.

Talat Aziz also shared that with the passing of Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas has brought in an end of 'an era'.

Film exhibitor Manoj Desai, who happened to be a close friend of Pankaj Udhas, was very emotional at the passing away of his friend.
He recalled the countless memories he shared with Pankaj Udhas and shared that he knew him for more than 30 years. They studied in the same college and he also knew Pankaj Udhas family personally.
He was also part of many Pankaj Udhas shows and loved his performances.
“It is very unbelievable to hear about the loss of Pankaj ji, said Manoj Desai. May his soul rest in peace. God give blessing to his family,” he said.
Sonu Nigam, Abhishek Bachchan, Sameer Reddy, several members of the film fraternity have mourned the death of the ghazal singer who had a song for every season, mood, time and perhaps, even a generation.
