Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan's 50th Anniversary: Daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda Shares A Beautiful Post

Shweta Bachchan posted an old photo of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and revealed the couple's secret to a long and happy marriage.

New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are one of the most famous couples in the Hindi film industry. They tied the knot in 1973. They were a major celebrity couple in the early 1970s and their love and devotion to one another has served as an example for many. Shweta Bachchan on their golden wedding anniversary sent her parents Amitabh and Jaya warm congratulations. She posted an old photo of them and revealed the couple's secret to a long and happy marriage.

Big B and Jaya Bachchan's intense gaze at one another in the photo posted by Shweta is enough to get your pulse racing. Shweta captioned the post, " Happy 50th parents ~ now you're "Golden" once on being asked what the secret to a long marriage is, my mother answered - love, and I think my father was - the wife is always right. In the picture, Amitabh wore a full-sleeve patterned shirt with flared trousers, while Jaya looked lovely in a saree.

Immediately after Shweta's post, well-wishes and congratulations poured in from fans and famous people alike. Director Zoya Akhtar wrote, "How beautiful are they????" and Maheep Kapoor wished "Happy 50th to your parents." 

Navya Nanda, Shweta's daughter also shared a snapshot from the set of their 2001 film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, featuring Amitabh and Jaya, on her Instagram Stories. She added the words "50 years" and a red love emoji.

Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan had their first child, a son and a daughter, Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan, respectively, in 1976 and 1974. Shweta wed Nikhil Nanda, an industrialist. Navya and Agastya Nanda are their two children. Abhishek Bachchan is married to actress Aishwarya Rai and has a daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
