BTS Member Jin To Enlist In The Military On December 13, Urges ARMY Not To Visit Him In Camp

BTS member Jin will be the first to enlist for the group's mandatory military service on December 13.

Jin, a member of the K-pop boy band BTS, will be the first to sign up for the group's required military service. The oldest member of the septet has stated that he will enlist in the military on December 13. On Thursday, Jin sent an update to Weverse to inform his fans in the midst of rumours.

K-Army has apparently been going to military training bases ever since the news. To prevent large crowds and potentially dangerous circumstances, the K-pop star urged his admirers, the ARMYs, to refrain from visiting the training camps.

According to a Twitter user's translation, Jin wrote in the post, "There's an article out there that I hadn't planned on being published.. in any case, ARMYs, I ask that you please refrain from coming to the training centre. There will be many other people there and it could get dangerous with a big crowd. Army I love you."

After completing five weeks of training at the boot camp, Jin, who turns 30 on December 4, will reportedly be sent to a unit. He will start his training as a recruit in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, and once he has finished basic training, he will be given his official duty, according to Soompi

The biggest band in South Korea, BTS, declared in October that all members, beginning with Jin, will be required to serve in the military.

Meanwhile, The Astronaut, a solo song by Jin that was a present from the eldest member to the ARMYs, was released in October. Along with Coldplay, he co-wrote the song and shared the stage with them for the song's premiere. After everyone has served, the group intends to split off to work on individual projects before coming back together in 2025.
