'Badhaai Do' Trailer: Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar's Lavender Marriage Breaks Taboos Linked To LGBTQ Community

New Delhi: The makers of Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Badhaai Do' have unveiled the trailer of the film, that promises an ample dose of entertainment with the right mixture of fun, comedy and drama, lined with an important message.
Revealing the trailer on Tuesday, the makers have given a glimpse of the interesting storyline that is bound to catch the audience's attention. The film is about a middle-aged couple played by Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, who accept the idea of lavender marriage (a marriage between a man and a woman for the purpose of hiding homosexuality).
In the film, Rajkummar plays the role of a police inspector while Bhumi essays the role of a PT teacher.
What then ensues between Shardul Thakur (Rajkummar), and Suman Singh (Bhumi), is a story of secrets, drama and twists with the topping of comedy.

Taking to their Instagram handles, Rajkummar and Bhumi wrote,"It’s one of those films, that came our way, touched our hearts in ways we can’t explain. Some journeys are meant to be remembered forever. Ab aap dekho trailer aur hume #BadhaaiDo."
The film also stars Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha and Loveleen Mishra in pivotal roles. Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, 'Badhaai Do' is the sequel to the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer 'Badhaai Ho' that also featured Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in lead roles.
'Badhaai Do' will release in theatres on February 11.
