New Delhi: Arya Banerjee, a Bengali actress, was suspiciously found dead at her south Kolkata residence on Friday reportedly. She acted in movies like ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka’ and others. Arya’s real name was Devdatta Banerjee. The daughter of late sitarist Nikhil Bandyopadhyay, the actress had also done some modelling jobs in Mumbai. 'The Dirty Picture' Actress Arya Banerjee Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances In Kolkata Apartment As soon as the news of her death broke out, ‘LSD’ actor Anshuman Jha took to his Twitter and mourned the loss of his co-actor. His tweet read, “EXTREMELY SHOCKED, SADDENED BY THE NEWS OF ARYA BANNERJEE'S DEMISE. Have only fond memories of my interactions with her during the making of LSD & its promotions.  CONDOLENCES & STREGTH TO HER FAMILY & LOVED ONES. #AryaBanerjee @AryaBanerjee”

Another Bengali actress Bidita Bag who was last seen in the crime thriller web series ‘Abhay’ recently, also mourned the loss of the actress. She tweeted, “Rest in peace Arya Banerjee...In my early modelling days...I shared room with her...for my very first outstation project. She was a senior and a very famous model in kolkata...She pampered me a lot during our shooting days... #AryaBanerjee” In another tweet, she shared, “She was the daughter of Sitar maestro Nikhil Banerjee. A very talented girl...who used to sing and dance like a rock-star. She amazed us with her acting and dancing stint in films like LSD, Dirty picture. will miss u forever. #aryabanerjee #DevduttaBanerjee”
