New Delhi: Alia Bhatt has had a super successful 2022 with films like 'Brahmastra', 'RRR', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'Darlings'. For her performances in these films, she has been appreciated quite a lot. Now, amidst a host of many accolades, Alia has added another feather in her cap. Alia Bhatt has been named in Variety's list of Impactful International Women of 2023. The list includes supremely successful women from different arenas of showbiz who have done great work recently.

Named for SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' and Sanjay Leela Bhansali'a 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' in the list, she told the publication, "There’s always that one film that’ll transcend language and leave its mark in people’s hearts." There is also a small intro of her which also mentions her upcoming film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Karan Johar. "I am so excited about this one because it’s giving quintessential Bollywood and I’m finally wearing sarees in the snow [so it’s a dream come true from every angle],” she said.

Among others in Variety's list are also women of HBO's hit series 'House of the Dragon--Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Olivia Cooke, and Spanish singer Rosalia. Women from the 'Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, women of Real Housewives of Dubai are also featured.

In 'RRR', Alia Bhatt essayed the role of Sita, Ram Charan's character's love interest. In 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', Alia portrayed the role of a madame of a brothel in Mumbai's Kamathipura area. In 'Darlings', Alia played the role of Vijay Verma's life. 

In 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', she will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh. Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi are also part of the film.

Recently, the 'RRR' team got the Spotlight Award at the Hollywood Critics Association Film Award. Since Alia Bhatt and Jr. NTR was not present at the event, their trophies were dispatched later.
